Casual Pay ("we", "us", "our") is an online pay estimation tool. By accessing or using casualpay.com.au you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The Casual Pay calculator provides gross pay estimates only. Results are calculated based on minimum rates under the modern award you select (see clause 3 for the awards we support) and are intended for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, or employment advice.
Pay estimates may differ from actual entitlements due to individual agreements, enterprise agreements, allowances, junior rates, annualised salary arrangements, shift patterns not captured by the inputs, or delays between when award rates change and when this tool is updated. Always verify your pay entitlements with your employer, your union, or the Fair Work Ombudsman.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the award rates current. Award minimum wages are reviewed annually by the Fair Work Commission (typically effective 1 July each year). There may be a delay between when a change takes effect and when this tool reflects that change. The Fair Work Ombudsman's own pay tools carry the same caveat.
This tool applies casual minimum rates under the modern award you select, for both adult (21+) and junior (under 21) employees — see the Awards page for the current, up-to-date list of awards we support. It does not apply part-time or permanent employee rates, school-based apprentice rates, or rates under enterprise agreements or individual flexibility arrangements. Results for employees who fall outside the casual classification, whose award isn't yet supported, or whose individual arrangements differ from the award minimum, will be incorrect.
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that applies under the ACL or any other applicable legislation. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to re-supplying the relevant service.
We do not make any representation that the calculator produces accurate, complete, or current results. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, pay estimates produced by this tool.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of this service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which will be $0 for free-tier users). We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss.
Employer liability. Employers who rely on this tool to determine worker pay do so at their own risk. This tool does not replace obligations under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) or any modern award. Employers remain solely responsible for compliance with all applicable workplace laws.
