What this calculator covers

Built for casual workers

Casual Pay is designed for casual employees of all ages, priced under the real Fair Work award that covers your job. Enter your shift and get an accurate gross pay estimate in seconds.

Shift pay

Calculates pay for each individual shift including penalty rates for out-of-hours work, weekends and public holidays.

Daily overtime

Overtime kicks in automatically once you're past your award's daily ordinary-hours cap — at a higher rate for the first few hours, then higher again.

Weekly overtime

The 38-hour weekly ordinary hours cap resets every Monday. Hours beyond that are overtime regardless of daily totals.

All casual ages

Applies adult rates (21+) and junior rates (under 21) based on your age — just select your age bracket.

Why Casual Pay

Penalty rates, sorted

The stuff that's easy to get wrong — we do it automatically.

Out-of-hours & weekend loadings

Hours outside the standard span, Saturdays and Sundays are each paid at their correct penalty rate.

Public holidays by state

We know which days are public holidays where you work, and apply holiday rates.

Per-shift breakdown

Tap any shift to see exactly how it was worked out — hours × rate, line by line.

25% casual loading

Your casual loading is applied automatically wherever the award actually pays it — no extra step, no guesswork.

Transparent rates
